This morning the students came into the room with a mess on the floor. Coco was sitting in the kleenex box and the box was pretty much empty. He threw kleenex's all over the floor. He even got caught with a few around him and one in his hand!
Coco decided to get a little cozy today. He took our math manipulatives and decided to build. What did he build? I am not quite sure! The kiddos came up with their own ideas and most of them think it is supposed to be a hot tub - not a bad idea in the middle of the winter. Others thought it was a fort or a home. I just sure hope he puts all the cubes back tonight when he is done!
Every morning we work on place value during calendar time. Coco decided that he wanted to reset in the 'hundreds' spot.
Coco showed up with a little note. He wrote "Being with you is going to be such a TREAT". All the kids came in with a smile when they realized that he didn't only eat some himself, but he left them a couple pieces as well! He also left a note to Ms. Gacke letting me know that he took my candy out of my drawer. At least he let me know! The kids also realized that he needs to work on his handwriting. It was a little on the sloppy side!!
It started off as an ordinary Tuesday. Well.... besides the late start and all the boys and girls running around crazy because of all the snow. Anyways - we were in the classroom working on our morning work when Mrs. Pederson, the principal, came to our classroom. She doesn't usually just pop in so I knew that something was up. She came in with a present and said that it was to be delivered to my classroom. When she handed me the wrapped gift I knew it wasn't an ordinary gift. It was FREEZING COLD! On top of the present was a letter. And who was that letter from?! SANTA!!! He brought us our own Elf on the Shelf. I don't know who was more excited - the kids or myself! After we opened the present and read the book we had to decide on a name. All of the kids voted and we ended up with Coco.
