To start off our day we had Elly's mom come into the classroom to read Green Eggs and Ham. After reading about the yummy snack we couldn't have an ordinary snack ourselves. So, why not have the kids try green eggs and ham in class? And..... why not do a little learning at the same time. Before they were able to eat their delicious treat they learned about adjectives, and they had to write adjectives about both snacks! I am proud to say that EVERYONE tried their green egg and only 3 kiddos didn't like it. : )
We started off our day wearing red and blue. When the kids walked into the classroom they entered and aquarium. Red and blue fish were at the entrance welcoming them. Inside was water and other fish as well.
Science: Our experiment for the day was called 'Walking Water'. Have your child use the pictures below to explain what happened! Math: At snack time the students were given colored goldfish. Before they could enjoy the tasty snack they had to graph how many of each color and answer a few questions about the graph as well. |
